Ingredients

If you are looking for a way to make your appetizers extra special, you should try these spicy Salmon Caviar Deviled Eggs. They are a perfect appetizer that matches a glass of champagne.

Let’s take a look closer at the ingredients. Eggs, greens, mayo, and caviar are the main ingredients. Red caviar is a pretty expensive treat, but this is a treat. πŸ˜‰ So, why not find an occasion and make this fancy appetizer?

I like adding red caviar to deviled eggs. It adds aΒ  special touch of elegance and luxury to the classic recipe. While caviar itself has a long history, the combination of deviled eggs and caviar is a more contemporary twist that blends different culinary influences. You can experience delicious flavors at home, without spending too much on this treat.

There are so many great dishes where you can serve the red caviar, on top of the pancakes, very thin crepes with sour cream and dill, sandwiches, tartlets, and of course sushi.

Where Can I Find the Caviar?

There are two types of caviar black and red. Black caviar is so expensive, and there are not many places where you can find it. The easiest way to buy it is on Amazon or from the stores where you locally buy your seafood products if they have it in their supply.

Red caviar meats more often, and you will not have any problems finding it. It is easier in a delicacy store or near the seafood section. Gourmet shops are also likely to have it.

Usually, a jar of caviar doesn’t have any antioxidants, it is only caviar and salt. Of course, after opening the glass jar or a can, you need to eat it in 48 hours. But, the container is so small, so it is doable. πŸ™‚

Overall, these Salmon Caviar Deviled Eggs represent a fusion of flavors, spicy mayo, and delicate caviar meat on hard-boiled eggs. So good!

How Much Time Do I Need To Make This Appetizer?

Approximately, you need 35 minutes. This appetizer is pretty straightforward. You only need to boil the eggs. You can make them even the day before and then keep them in the fridge until you are ready to serve.

I don’t recommend buying ready hard-boiled eggs, they can be stored for a few days and the taste may be different. It is better to cook them by themselves.

Can I Substitute Mayo?

You can use any type of mayo that you like, alternatively, you can use sour cream. Sour cream also works great with caviar. If you do like using mayo, I’ve got two mayo recipes waiting for you – Olive Oil Mayo and Truffle Mushroom Mayo. Check them out! πŸ˜‰

How Many Servings Are In This Appetizer?

There are 3 servings. You may consider serving two egg pieces per person.

If you are looking for ways to level up your simple appetizers, these Salmon Caviar Deviled Eggs are just perfect. Enjoy them with champagne or white wine!

Step 1. Prepare all ingredients 1 minute

Gather all ingredients on a table. Wash onion and parsley.

Step 2. Boil eggs 12 minutes

Boil 3 eggs for 12 minutes.

Step 3. Cool off eggs 18 minutes

Place the boiled eggs in a casserole with cold water and leave them for 15-18 minutes. If you have ice cubes, add them, too. It will speed up the process. Alternatively, you can boil eggs the day before and store them in the fridge. Peel eggs and cut them into halves.

Step 4. Prepare spicy mayo 2 minutes

While eggs are cooling off, make spicy mayo. Place spring onion and parsley to a blender and add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Blend until smooth.
Or use one of the mayo recipes that I have on the website.

Step 5. Assemble 2 minutes

Add a spoon of mayo on top of the eggs, and decorate with a spoon of caviar.

Step 6. Serve 1 minute

Your Salmon Caviar Deviled Eggs are ready. Enjoy!
